3. Update on State Farm three tower mega-project in PCID – KDC
Alex Chambers of KDC provided a revised project update on its main regional headquarters project at Hammond and Perimeter Center West (it is one of three such regional headquarters in the US) highlights included:
There is no longer a Hotel component, the initial building will house 2,500 employees and 10k sq ft. of retail/hotel space. In planning is a three building “functional hub” south of Hammond and west of Perimeter Center containing a central green area, being designed for underground parking and could eventually bring the total employee count to 10,000. State Farm is working with the cities of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody for connectivity to a multi-use path. The current Hammond Exchange building is unlikely to be retained due to prohibitive costs to renovate.

4. Update on Acadia project in Perimeter Center abutting Georgetown
The “Townsend at Perimeter” is currently zoned for high-rise office but Acadia is proposing 87 townhomes on 7.5 acres; an additional 3.3 acres is being donated back to the city as a buffer to Georgetown and a potential park area. Part of that buffer contains the city’s 12 ft. multi-use trail which could connect to a Perimeter pocket park. The complex will only be accessible via Perimeter Center East and not Georgetown or Spring Hill Lane. The units will be four-side brick with price points beginning around $500k. Internal sidewalks, a large greenspace and a pool with cabanas are other planned features. Acadia still needs to present to the Planning Commission in July and City Council in August.

5. Brief status update from Danny Ross on Brook Run Theater:
Danny confirmed the Brook Run Conservancy had raised $40,000 for a feasibility study expected to be completed in October. The current proposed Theater plan allows for 34,000 square of meeting space as a potential revenue source.

6. Bill Robinson, Initial Parade Recap:
Pam expects the Parade to net $2,524 above costs, there were 171 total entrants. All but two showed although most of the bands could not march due to the rain.
