A NOTE FROM THE MARKET MANAGER
It seems like our artisan markets are magnets for rain this year - we kicked off in the rain with our artisans on February 13th, and the forecast is calling for rain again for our second artisan market this Saturday.
If it's just rain, market goes on as scheduled. If there's any sort of active weather watch or warning, or a thunderstorm, we cancel. Sometimes (like 3 weeks ago) the radar looks nasty with lots of lightning strikes and I decide to cancel based on that, but I try to minimize those scenarios - especially because the weather doesn't always cooperate!
Behind the scenes, each vendor also watches the forecasts and has to make their own decision about whether to attend when rain is threatening. Some have products that are damaged by moisture, and some don't want to spend the time and money on Friday preparing products that won't get sold if customers don't come out in the rain on Saturday. That's why the vendor list below will almost certainly change - in order to get the newsletter out, I have to write it before many vendors have made their final decisions about coming to market.
With that being said, here's our lineup for this week - lots of your favorite food vendors, and some new artisan vendors to spice things up!
