Don Boyken called the meeting to order at 7:30.
ZONING: Don reported that Roberts Properties’ application would be moving through this month. On Thursday, February 15 at Fulton County Annex plans will be displayed. Register as a concerned citizen. Steve French has been working with Roberts Properties and the executive committee asked that he resign from Board to avoid any conflict of interest. The DHA opposes this development.
Bill Grossman reported that Hines has withdrawn application for property in front of Ravinia. He was asked to check on landscape buffers at Ashford Parkway.
OFFICERS: Don reported that the executive committee had selected officers for 2001.

UPDATE ON VANDALISM: Suspect backed out on his agreement to apologize. Parents are subject to a civil action. Investigation has begun.
HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATIONS: Charlene Thurman is working on getting the names of the officers of these associations so that we can have better involvement with the community.
PARADE: Bill Robinson reported that the first parade was in 1991 and that the CRIER is co-sponsor. Parade begins at Harris Teeter parking lot and concludes at Dunwoody Village. Last year there were 106 registered entries and crowd was estimated at 12,000. It is the largest 4th of July parade in Georgia other than WSB parade. Parade committee operates independently of the Board but with the Board’s support. The parade is always on the Federal Holiday. There was discussion about limiting political candidate vehicles, more business involvement, floats suitable for all, and keeping the parade moving.
BROOK RUN: Nick Nicodemus reported that strategic planning committee is being formed. County has been supportive. Dick Purcell is chairman.
LEMONADE DAYS: Joyce Amacher reported that DPT is having a 5K run and 2 day home tour in April. Corporate sponsors are needed. She also reported that another tree shipment would be made in March.
Don handed out a list of article assignments for Board members. Articles will run in the CRIER.
