Katie delivered her annual report:
*1mm annual budget, DCVB receives 2% or 5% Hotel tax.
*Hotel occupancy weekdays near 100%, weekends-70%
*Marketing focus on weekend leisure travelers and small conventions.
*City has ample hotel rooms, lacking adequate meeting/convention facilities. - All Saints Catholic Church community meeting – Stacey Harris
*Parish intends to raise the existing sanctuary and build larger one
*All Saints plan to construct a two-story parking deck in their lower lot; the church is proposing three water run-off controls to appease neighbors.
*The entrance/exit to All Saints will be reconfigured with the entrance aligning with the light at Jett Ferrry and the existing exit right turn only.
*Several variances will be required for the driveways, total lot coverage and for the church’s basement wall design. - Membership Drive update:
*The Executive Board had approved the letter to be mailed with return envelopes before Thanksgiving. The Executive Board urged all DHA members to issue the letter and reminders via their respective neighborhood homeowners email recipients, all relevant blogs, and social media postings. - Citizen of the Year discussion:
Board members asked to send nominations to Stacey and the Exec. Board. - Annual Meeting discussion:
*Tentatively scheduled for January 11, 2pm at the Kingsley Clubhouse.
